NZ wood processors and manufacturers survey includes biofuel production

The NZ Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) is surveying all business who turn wood into products such as biofuels. Bioenergy Association is working with MPI to identify producers of biofuel in the resulting database so that biofuels are fully recognised as a main stream energy product.

The NZ Government is wanting to better understand the contribution of the wood processing and manufacturing sector to New Zealand’s economy. As a first step to improve sector data collection, MPI is updating a directory of commercial wood processors and manufacturing entities through a survey. This is a first time that the production of biofuels has been included as a product of wood and it is important  that all producers of biofuels (big and small) are included.

The survey should take you 2-5 minutes to complete depending on the size and complexity of your business. The survey has straight-forward questions about company details, processing locations and capacity.  If you have any questions, please kyle.wills [at] wsp.com (email Kyle Wills)
